Have you tested your “TRUST” levels lately? Do you believe that God helps us to TRUST others as we increase our TRUST in Him?
Trust is a word that humanity frequently recognizes. It is within our nature to trust and be treated fairly and respectfully. Our first instinct to trust usually enters our lives at birth. God has placed His heart of trust in us (Ecc 3:11). Therefore, we trust our parents, and through their lives, we trust others. However, because of our imperfections, as we hurt, we hurt others and create distrust. “Even a child is known by his doings, whether his actions are pure, and whether it be right” (Prov 20:11). If a child knows his actions are wrong, what does that say about adults? Yes, we have a god-like instinct because we were created in His image. In addition, God gave us his son for deliverance and to observe His godly character. Our distrust reveals our needy hearts, and as we draw close to God, He mends our wounds. Because of His grace, we can cast our cares on Him. Yes, he gets us! He loves us. Therefore, we gain wisdom and knowledge with the ultimate goal to please Him.
The Bible tells us to “Trust in the Lord with all

our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding” (Prov. 3:5). When this Proverb was written, Solomon could state such wisdom because he chose to receive God’s wisdom. In return, he became the wisest man on earth and gained all he could ever desire. However, when Solomon took his eyes off the Lord, he failed God and settled for earthly wisdom and passions. He trusted in what seemed right in his fleshly eyes. His demise illustrates the depravity of man. At the end of his life, he recognized his wandering state and that God was trustworthy. In other words, all else fails.
Where is your trust? Are you fixing your eyes on the God of reassuring love? Do you believe He is capable of securing your trust? Trust begins with God. In Him, we gain life! He covers us! Can you confidently say, "He Covers Me."
